Prof. Robert Schmitt has held the Chair of Metrology and Quality Management at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University since July 2004. He is a member of the Directory Board of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and the WZL.
Dr.-Ing. Walter Kimmelmann completed his Ph.D. at the WZL in 1991 and is currently one of the Laboratory’s chief engineers. As leader of the division for Model-Based Systems, his profound academic expertise is a great asset to the center. He can look back on 22 years of industry experience in turnkey projects for assembly systems.
